    April 28: Huawei Announces 2023 Q1 Business Results

    In Q1, Huawei generated CNY 132.1 billion in revenue, with a year-on-year increase of 0.8% and a net profit margin of 2.3%.[1]

    Overall business results were in line with forecasts. Huawei has increased investment in R&D to keep innovating in the future; create new value for its customers, partners, and the communities worldwide; and promote quality development.

    April 19: Huawei Holds Global Analyst Summit

    Huawei held its 20th annual Global Analyst Summit (HAS) in Shenzhen from April 19-21.

    Attended by more than 1,000 industry analysts, financial analysts, key opinion leaders, and media representatives from around the world, the event discussed the status of the ICT industry, including development strategies, roadmaps for digital transformation, and future industry trends.

    April 14: GlobalData & Huawei Release 5G Voice Transition White Paper

    To compile the paper, GlobalData surveyed 50 mobile operators around the world on their voice services’ strategies and challenges. 82% of those surveyed view voice and SMS services as important or almost as important as data services, even in the 5G era.

    The white paper:

    • Explores the current challenges facing operators who run voice networks over multiple generations.
    • Proposes building a convergent voice network to solve network transition issues.
    • Describes how high-value services supported by the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) data channel are how voice services will develop in the future.

    April 10: MTN, Huawei & HIMA Cement Deploy Uganda’s First 5G Commercial Solution for Industry

    Huawei, MTN Uganda & HIMA Cement celebrate at the launch event

    Deployed in a HIMA Cement plant, the solution offers high bandwidth, low latency, and the ability to connect with a high concentration of devices. 5G will enable real-time data transmission in the production area and edge computing will drive up production efficiency.

    At the launch event on April 3, the partners demonstrated two unique scenarios enabled by 5G:

    • 5G-enabled EHS (occupational health, safety and environment) training.
    • Video monitoring to immediately detect factory operation faults and accident risks.

    April 7: Huawei Launches Global XMAGE Awards 2023

    What is it?

    A competition celebrating inspiration and creativity through amazing photos and videos captured with Huawei devices around the world.

    Who can enter?

    Casual snappers, pro shooters, and anyone in-between! All you need is a Huawei mobile device.
