Oct 30: AIS Thailand and Huawei Win Most Innovative 5G Communication Service Award at Network X

    251030-05

At Informa Tech's Network X event, AIS Thailand and Huawei won the Most Innovative 5G Communication Service Award for the AI Calling solution, which includes English-Thai simultaneous interpretation.

As the first commercial AI Calling network in Southeast Asia, it features two key benefits:

    1. Functions seamlessly within regular voice calls and on terminals that do not support video calls, like feature phones.
    2. Works reliably on all mobile network generations, from 2G to 5G thanks to Huawei's Single Voice Core architecture, making AI-powered simultaneous interpretation accessible to everyone.

The service is especially valuable for emergency calls, business negotiations, ride hailing, and ordering meals.

Oct 27: Huawei Commercially Verifies World's First Sub-1 GHz Massive MIMO

Huawei has verified its sub-1 GHz (700 MHz, 800 MHz, and 900 MHz) Massive MIMO for commercial use, representing the first product in the industry to combine extremely large antenna arrays with wideband technology in low-band spectrum.

The product's superior performance over conventional low-band 2T2R equipment include:

    • Increases downlink capacity fivefold
    • Provides 8-dB better uplink coverage
    • Provides 4x higher uplink speeds
    • Intelligently aggregates fragmented spectrum resources
    • Pushes the limit of low-band spectral efficiency, achieving a fivefold improvement
    • Delivers wider and deeper coverage, including a doubled coverage radius for a consistent 20 Mbps uplink experience, which is ideal for mobile AI applications.
    • Supports the coexistence of GSM, UMTS, LTE, NR, and NB-IoT to facilitate the seamless evolution of all bands toward 5G.

Oct 22: China Mobile Shandong and Huawei Win "Most Innovative Telco AI Deployment" at Network X

    251022-02

At the annual Network X Awards, China Mobile Shandong and Huawei received the Most Innovative Telco AI Deployment award for their Intelligent Network Change Management Platform (INCMP)

China Mobile Shandong serves 100+ million uses and has executed more than 1,500 network changes since 2024 to meet nework expansion and service complexity issues. To eliminate human error and build a zero-error autonomous network, the operator and Huawei integrated Huawei's next-gen Centralized Model-Operation Simulation algorithm into the INCMP. The solution enables:

    • Pre-change predictive simulation: simulates network states and performance after configuration changes, and automatically marks anomalies to proactively mitigate risks
    • In-change precise control: supports batch configuration delivery and policy combination verification to minimize impact on users
    • Post-change visualized traceability: records the entire configuration change process and compares simulation results with actual network changes, reducing fault locating time from hours to minutes

Oct 13: Huawei Named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for 5G Core Network Infrastructure Solutions

Gartner's 2025 Magic Quadrant for 5G Core Network Infrastructure Solutions report recognizes Huawei as a 'Leader'.

    251013-03
Huawei 5G Core helps build the industry's first fully converged 2G/3G/4G/5G core network, achieving efficient iteration and flexible deployment of software. It:

    • Adopts N-Way redundancy software architecture from the Rock-Solid Reliability solution.
    • Works with the ICNMaster MDAF intelligent O&M solution to prevent risks, ensuring rapid fault handling and reliability up to 99.9999%.
    • Uses dual-engine architecture to support both VMs and containers, enabling the core network to smoothly evolve from conventional VNFs to CNFs.
