Huawei ICT Competition: A Grand Prize Winner's Perspective
The Huawei ICT Competition gives students participating in the Huawei ICT Academy program across the globe the chance to compete, exchange ideas, and enhance their ICT knowledge and practical skills. Since the first edition in 2015, the competition's influence has kept growing, with the Huawei-UNESCO 2023–2024 edition attracting more than 170,000 students from over 2,000 colleges and universities in more than 80 countries and regions.
- The Practice Competition includes the Network, Cloud, Computing, and Ascend AI Tracks. These examine students' theoretical knowledge and hands-on ICT skills, as well as their teamwork. Contestants are ranked according to their scores in theoretical and lab exams.
- The Innovation Competition enables students to use ICTs, such as AI, IoT, big data, and cloud, to resolve real-life problems, propose solutions that have social and business value, and design models with comprehensive functions.
