Mar 31: Huawei Releases 2024 Annual Report. Performance in Line with Forecast

Huawei's 2024 performance, which included CNY862.1 billion in revenue and CNY62.6 billion in net earnings, was consistent with projections. In 2024, Huawei allocated CNY179.7 billion, or 20.8% of its yearly turnover, on research and development. Over the last ten years, it has invested a total of CNY1.249 trillion in research and development.
The company will keep granting ecosystem partners access to its platform capabilities and offering developers user-friendly tools and products in areas such as cloud computing, Ascend, Kunpeng, and HarmonyOS.
Huawei hopes to promote ecosystem growth for a more dynamic industry.

Mar 18: Huawei Named a Customers' Choice in 2025 Gartner® Peer Insights™ Voice of the Customer

Huawei was named a Customers' Choice in 2025 Gartner® Peer Insights™ Voice of the Customer for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions. According to the report, as of November 2024, Huawei scored 99% for "Willingness to Recommend" based on 155 reviews of its OceanProtect Data Protection solution.
Gartner Peer Insights is a free peer review and ratings platform designed for enterprise software and services decision makers. It recognizes vendors who meet or exceed both the market average Overall Experience and the market average User Interest and Adoption score through a Customers' Choice distinction.

Mar 06: Winners of Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025 APAC Final Announced

The awards ceremony for the Asia-Pacific Regional Final of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025, jointly hosted by Huawei and the ASEAN Foundation, was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 27. Nations and regions participated in the tournament, which was a 25% increase over the year before.
In the competition's Innovation Track, the Institute of Technology of Cambodia team took home the top honor, Vietnam's Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology took first place in the Computing Track, Indonesia's Institut Teknologi Bandung took first place in the Network Track, and the Philippines' i-Academy took first place in the Cloud Track.
The TECH4ALL Digital Inclusion Award went to the National University of Singapore, the Green Development Award to Universiti Teknologi Brunei, and the Women in Tech Award to Universiti Malaya. Dr. Husni Teja Sukmana from Indonesia won the grand prize in the newly introduced Teaching Competition.

Mar 07: China Unicom Guangdong, Gree, and Huawei Win GSMA GLOMO "Best Private Network Solution" and "Best Mobile Innovation for Connected Economy" Awards

At MWC Barcelona 2025, China Unicom Guangdong, Gree, and Huawei took home the GSMA Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards "Best Private Network Solution" and "Best Mobile Innovation for Connected Economy" for a 5.5G "lights-out" factory featuring a 5.5G native private network solution.
The partners developed a 5.5G native private network, transforming Gree’s Gaolan factory into the world’s largest 5.5G “lights-out” facility. Using AI and 5.5G features like low latency, high uplink bandwidth, and precise positioning, the solution enhances production, quality checks, and logistics with improved agility and coordination.
The factory's transformation to flexible, intelligent, and green manufacturing boosted efficiency by 86%, enabling the production of 12 million defect-free split-type air conditioners annually.

Mar 06: Huawei GigaGear Wins GSMA GLOMO Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough Award

At MWC Barcelona 2025, Huawei's GigaGear solution was awarded the GSMA Global Mobile (GLOMO) Award for 'Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough'.
GigaGear employs an innovative GigaHz Instantaneous Bandwidth (IBW) hardware architecture and combines advanced Optsolver, an operations research and optimization solver, technologies to dynamically manage air interface resources (AIR)—enhancing spectrum efficiency by 30% and improving user experience by 48%.
Optsolver applies mathematical optimization to dynamically allocate resources, factoring in elements like interference, coverage elasticity, and energy efficiency. This millisecond-level decision-making ensures precise, efficient network performance.

Mar 05: bKash and Huawei Win GSMA GLOMO "Best FinTech Innovation" Award

At MWC Barcelona 2025, bKash and Huawei were awarded the GSMA GLOMO "Best FinTech Innovation" for their digital loan solution. This award recognizes groundbreaking advancements in financial technology that are transforming the way people and businesses manage, access, and utilize financial services.
Huawei partnered with bKash to introduce the "Pay Later" financial service, offering instant, paperless microloans and delivering a seamless digital payment experience to the majority of Bangladesh's unbanked population.
This service particularly benefits groups, including rural women and small businesses, helping them secure working capital, reduce poverty, and drive local e-commerce growth.

Mar 05: China Mobile and Huawei Win the GSMA GLOMO Best Network Software Breakthrough and CTO Choice: Outstanding Mobile Technology Award

At MWC Barcelona 2025, China Mobile and Huawei took home the prestigious GSMA GLOMO Best Network Software Breakthrough and CTO Choice: Outstanding Mobile Technology Award for their groundbreaking Autonomous Networks (AN) solution.
Huawei has significantly advanced network operations with intelligent agents and copilots that enhance end-to-end (E2E) troubleshooting, complaint handling, and wireless network optimization.
Huawei intends to keep improving the ADN Level 4 solution based on the telecom foundation model and other crucial technologies, prioritizing high-value scenarios in three key areas, including network maintenance, user experience optimization, and service enablement.

March 05: Huawei and Industry Partners Win the 5G Monetisation Award from GSMA Foundry

Huawei and industry partners were honored with the GSMA Foundry Excellence Awards at MWC Barcelona 2025, proving Huawei's contributions to the industry and its innovation in multiple areas, especially with regards to revolutionizing experience monetization, and supporting industry collaboration.
Huawei and over 10 industry partners jointly set up the Intelligent Packet Core GSMA Foundry project, addressing three main challenges: experience assessment, network optimization, and experience monetization. The aim is to provide users with brand-new experience privileges, such as guaranteed service experiences during live streaming, video conferencing, and HD video services, achieving closed-loop experience monetization.
Base on intelligent Packet Core, Huawei build the Intelligent Personalized Experience (IPE) solution, offering an NWDAF-centered intelligence plane for the core network. It enables real-time and dynamic guarantee of user experiences and helps operators reshape their business models.
